Bring Your 'A Game' to One of Our Many Competitions
Snooker World has an all year round, diverse range of competitions available for social right through to serious players and teams.
The backbone of our competitive season is the Gold Coast 8 Ball Association competition, who play graded teams events on Wednesday and Thursday nights throughout the competition season (February to November).
Snooker World is also host to large Regional, State and National events depending on the calendar and particular event or association. It is not uncommon for us to host 150+ players over major 3 and 4 day events.
Outside of these official events – we also offer an ongoing schedule of social competitions and events.
Our weekly Sunday Social competition is popular with the locals and regulars, and there’s also a Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday night competition depending on the time of year.

Gold Coast 8 Ball Association
Snooker World Gold Coast is proudly affiliated with the Gold Coast 8 Ball Association, and we are honoured that the Association consider Snooker World to be their ‘home’.
Formed in 1983, it is the only organised 8 ball competition that covers the whole Gold Coast – from Coolangatta to Upper Coomera. It is a teams orientated competition, which has teams of all abilities vying for the prestige of becoming the champion team of the year.
There are various divisions so players and teams can compete within their ability, and the season usually runs from February right through to November, with matches played on a Wednesday and Thursday night.
Gold Coast 8 Ball Association actively promotes participation in the sport and encourages new members to join and share in our love of the game.
